Things I am thankful for....

I thought while I have a moment I should post what I am thankful for in the pregnancy. I've been lucky that I've had nothing go wrong.

I am thankful that in this pregnancy:

-I've never been constipated.
-I haven't had any mood swings or been moody.
-I haven't had hemorrhoids.
-I only had minimal morning sickness.
-I only had feet swelling for a few days back around 20 weeks.
-My cervix remained closed.
-I had no spotting.
-I've had no muscle stretching pains.
-I've had minimal round ligament pain (if any) around week 16.
-I haven't had any back aches.
-I've haven't been clumsy.
-I haven't had "pregnancy brain".

I'm sure there are more, and will post them when I think of them.

I hope the delivery goes just as smooth as this pregnancy has.

Sometimes I wonder if the miscarriage last year helped things along. So in small way having the miscarriage and my Grannie's death (sob) may just have been the miracle DH and I needed to carry these babies so long and so healthy.

How uneventful...Boo!

Had another OB appt today. Strep B came back negative. Yay!

Dr wasn't sure why the babies had moved...But in any case, he is happy that they are both head down and good size weights.

My uterus went back up to 43 again.

It was a very uneventful appt, and I go back on Wednesday.

Boring!

They are measuring how heavy now?

Well....Today was probably our last u/s before we get one at the hospital when I deliver...It was sort of sad in a way, but exciting because really the next time we get to see them, we will be able to hold them. (Tomorrow we make 35 weeks) Yay!!!!

So this is what happened today:
Went in for the u/s. Can you believe it? Babies moved positions....

Baby A (who is termed baby A because A is always the presenting twin (meaning out first)) has actually moved. He is still head down but now he's moved up and his head across from my belly button (if you can picture that).

Baby B, who was on top (like bunk bed style) lying traverse across my belly (picture under the ribs) has snuck down and is lodged into my pelvis.

So now BOTH babies are head down...But Baby B (termed B because that would be the second baby out) is now head down in my pelvis and would technically be the first baby out.

The weird thing was the tech wasn't sure how to label them. Do we change Baby A for the last 35 weeks to Baby B and vice versa? So confusing....It was really hard to see anything in there this week.

Measurements are as follows:

Baby A (still the original baby A): HB: 132, 5 lbs, 14 oz.
Baby B: HB 139, 5 lbs, 5 oz.

No wonder I can't get comfy anymore, or turn over in bed by myself and have that gross twin skin going on... I've got about 11 lbs of baby in my belly not including the placentas, fluids, etc...

Well now we wait to see what the OB says on Friday....

I'm so glad the babies are really healthy weights so far, but can they come out yet?

Valentine's Day....Gross

So DH and I rarely celebrate V Day....But this year he got me a card, and we spent the day romancing....Not that that means a lot these days, but it was nice...

We decided to do a take in for dinner, and I felt like fish and chips from the best fish place in the city....

I wasn't feeling so hot all day today, so about 4 hours after dinner I decided to take a bath. I don't usually like baths, but these days I feel so weightless.....We were watching the Olympics and I didn't want to miss Canada, but felt I should relax...

Long story short, I felt as if I was going to throw up, and that's exactly what I did. NO, not in the bath water, but out on the floor on the tile and carpet. DH came running....And I kept throwing up....He ran to get a bowl, but by that time I only had a few heaves left....Poor DH...He's such a trooper. He put on this gloves, and picked up all the puke...Dry heaving and all....The worst part of it was...he didn't like the warmth of the puke as he threw it into the garbage....

I hope I never do that again while pregnant. My belly was so tight....It was actually hurting to heave...

So happy Valentine's Day to us....

Latest OB Appt

Had a good appt.
Am measuring 41 now, and 2 weeks ago it was 45 so babies are def. dropping.
Had my strep B test and my first cervix check.

Dr felt Baby A head, and I am 1 - 2 cm dialated. Hes says I should be good to go to 36-37 weeks. Woo Hoo

I will wait to see what the u/s and our next OB next week brings...

OB Appt - Check

Had another OB this week. Uterus is measuring 43 now. Dr thinks maybe smaller than last week because babies dropped....

I am 33 weeks and 1 day today. Woo Hoo....I am so happy to have made it this far.

My belly got even tighter all of a sudden, and perhaps maybe Baby A did drop (how that's possible, I'm not sure as he's already in my pelvis) because the lower part of my belly is really really heavy. Maybe it's just they are gaining weight again or something. All I know is that I am pretty uncomfy again.

Next weeks appts bring the Strep B test and weekly cervix checks. So I finally get to undress at the OB....I wish someone had told me at the start that we would be warned when we get to undress, and I wouldn't have tried to shave every time I went into see the Dr. Argh...Oh well

Sleep is getting tougher and tougher....I get up to pee at least every hour to 90 minutes now.

All in the name of healthy babies....I'd like to try to keep them inside for a while longer so they don't have to spend time in NICU.

We really want to meet you little guys, but only when you are healthy and ready.
